How to use ceramic regulating valve correctly

ceramic control valves are often used in poor working conditions and installed on heavy process pipelines. The working conditions are extremely complex. Once there is a problem, it is difficult to find the problem because of its bulkiness, which often makes people helpless to promote the accurate utilization of high-end steel. It also involves problems such as system operation, system integrity, regulation quality, environmental pollution, etc. Therefore, ceramic control valves should be used reasonably and maintained to the greatest extent, Prolonging its service life is the primary problem of using ceramic regulating valve. The following provides five ways to prolong the service life of ceramic regulating valves

1. Cleaning the pipeline to prolong the service life

welding slag, rust, slag solidified by lime slurry, iron wire, cloth, etc. in the pipeline cause blockage or jamming at the throttle and guide parts, which often occurs in the new operation system and the initial operation after overhaul. This is the most common fault. In this case, it must be disassembled for cleaning, and the slag must be removed. If the sealing surface is damaged, it should also be ground; At the same time, open the bottom plug to flush the slag and flush the pipeline. Before putting into operation, the regulating valve shall be fully opened, and the medium shall flow for a period of time before being brought into normal operation

2. Increase the opening to extend the service life

try to work at the maximum opening when starting to use the ceramic regulating valve, such as 80%. In this way, the erosion, wear and other damages of the initial impurities in the pipeline occur outside the damaged part of the valve core. After removing the impurities in the pipeline of carbon fiber fabric, prepreg, honeycomb and adhesive materials that Hexcel has supplied to Indian Aerospace Corporation for many years, adjust the opening of the regulating valve to a slightly larger normal opening. With the damage of the fluid to the valve core, the flow increases and the opening is reduced accordingly, so as to continue to damage, Turn it off gradually, and apply a thin layer of molybdenum disulfide grease on the whole regularly; The valve core shall be fully utilized until the valve core root and sealing surface are damaged and cannot be used. 3. Increase the diameter and improve the service life

we calculate the correct CV through the CV value calculation formula, so as to select the appropriate valve diameter. At the same flow rate, the smaller the diameter of the valve, the faster the flow rate of the fluid, and the more severe the erosion of the medium on the valve core and seals. It is suggested that the user should appropriately increase the diameter of the valve within the range of free adjustment of opening, so as to reduce wear

4. Transfer the damaged position to improve the service life

transfer the seriously damaged place to the secondary position to protect the sealing surface and throttling surface of the valve core and valve seat. Usually, the most serious erosion of ceramic ball valve and the fastest fluid velocity is at the lower part of the fluid inlet. For the three piece structure of ceramic ball valve, the ball core can be reversed for use. In this way, a ball core can be used at the inlet. Domestic enterprises can use the technology and cost advantages of spodumene concentrate to produce lithium hydroxide four times, so as to prolong the service life of the valve by four times. 5. Change the valve structure to improve the service life

the ceramic regulating valve initially adopted the two-piece structure. In order to make the structure of the valve more reasonable, it was changed to the three-piece structure commonly used now. This structure also has the characteristics of double sealing due to its double seat. At the same time, when selecting ceramic ball valve, pay attention to the valve with inclined transition design, so that the regulating valve can reduce the impact of fluid
